Strong Foundations
Solid foundations in discipline and determination define Remi Adebonojo’s journey. Born in Leeds, his upbringing in a Nigerian military school from the age of 12 instilled a strong work ethic of self-discipline, persistence, leadership, empathy, and fairness. These values continue to guide him today as he brings nearly 20 years of experience as a global leadership coach in Nigeria and management consultant to clients in the UK, Europe, West Africa, and Asia.
The Passion
Remi’s journey to becoming a top leadership coach in Nigeria began long before he formally trained. With a natural ability to connect with people, understand their challenges, and provide insight without judgment, friends, relatives, and colleagues have always sought Remi’s advice, guidance, and clarity. This innate talent prompted him to pursue formal training and certifications as a coach, allowing him to hone his skills and offer an even higher level of service to his clients.

Remi’s natural inclination towards coaching is only the beginning. Years of experience, continuous learning, and a genuine interest in the psychology of change and transformation are essential to Remi’s practice. As a global leadership strategist in Nigeria, he has focused on the psychological links to change and transformation to better understand and guide his clients through their unique journeys.

Remi’s extensive education and training in coaching and consulting complement his natural intuition and passion. He holds several prestigious certifications, including ICF Master Certified Coach in Nigeria, EMCC Senior Practitioner, Erickson International accredited coach, Certified Hogan Personality Assessment Test Interpreter, and Everything DiSC® certified trainer. Additionally, he holds a joint Master’s (MSc French Equivalent) degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change from Oxford University and HEC Paris, a law degree, and an MBA. This combination of education, training, and experience provides Remi with comprehensive knowledge and the methodologies to effectively guide his clients.

With over 20 years of corporate experience, most of which was spent in the fast-paced financial services industry, Remi has an in-depth understanding of business dynamics relatable to various industries. He has interacted with countless senior management teams, equipping him to see the bigger picture and any potential consequences in a given scenario. This analytical and inquisitive mindset, developed through years of consulting, paired with the coaching process, enables Remi to bring out the best in his clients.
The Flow
Remi’s approach to coaching is a fusion of craft and science, utilising tools and techniques such as the iMPACT© Coaching Model and the Solution-Focused Coaching approach to achieve actionable goals and outcomes. No two sessions are the same, as he works with each client’s unique needs and challenges. From leadership, job transition, and role mobility to total transformation, Remi covers a wide range of coaching fields such as vision generation, imposter syndrome mitigation, minority elevation, skill development, conflict management, and habit-breaking. His clients range from middle managers to senior executives and come from diverse locations such as the UK, Italy, Poland, Nigeria, UAE, Ghana, and South Africa. Sessions can be conducted in person, by phone, or virtually.
On the Other Side
Outside of work as a global leadership coach in Nigeria, Remi is a personable, attentive, and relaxed individual. He is an avid motorsport fan, particularly Formula One, where he actively participates as an FIA delegate for Nigeria, providing driver coaching. He also indulges in his passion for science fiction, swimming, and reading, striking a balance between his professional and personal pursuits.
